Word Count:Article Body:
Balance transfers have grown in popularity and importance ever since lenders have started using zero per cent interest rates on balance transfers to lure consumers from other companies to their own.

Introductory Offers

These 0% balance transfer offers give the customer a very low, or zero per cent interest rate on any sum transferred from another credit card, over to them. If you are considering a balance transfer then there are two figures you should be aware of. The first is the APR on the balance transfer, or the balance transfer rate. This will tell you the interest that will be charged on the sum transferred and will generally be very low, or free.

Rate Tarts

In fact these introductory balance transfer offers are what caused the introduction a generation of rate tarts. Basically a rate tart is someone who will search for a 0% balance transfer deal over and over again to save money on interest repayments. They will keep transferring balances and keep the cash they have saved in high interest bearing accounts. In a strange sort of way they actually use the banks money to earn money from them, just what the banks have been doing to customers for years, earning money from their customers savings. However, the banks do not like the rate tarts at all and have declared war. The first step, and a very powerful one was the introduction of the balance transfer charge.

Balance Transfer Charge

The other figure you should pay attention to is the balance transfer charge. While you may be charged nothing on the balance once it is on the new card, you may be charged a fee to get it there. This is usually pretty low, about two to three per cent, but you should be aware of it, and only pay it if you have to, and if you genuinely are going to make use of the low balance transfer rate.

Length of Introductory Offer

Another figure that will be of interest when shopping for a good balance transfer deal will be the length of time that the balance transfer rate lasts. It may be six or nine months, and most cards are generally about this period, but make sure you check, as if one card offers you twelve months at one per cent, and another six months at zero per cent, the twelve month card may be more suitable, depending on your circumstances, than the six month card, even though this card has a slightly lower rate.

Get The Best Balance Transfer Deal Available

If you are looking for a good balance transfer deal, then the most important thing to do, is make sure that you shop around and give yourself every opportunity to find the best deal that is available to you. Today, using the Internet, it is easier than ever to search among a huge range of credit card providers and find out exactly what each one is offering.

Only be doing a little home work and shopping around will you be giving yourself the best chance to find the card offers you the best deals. And with offers varying buy such large amounts from lender to lender, and given the amount that people pay on credit card payments, it is vital that you give yourself every opportunity to find the best deals available.

You could find a hard time getting the best credit card offer because this is an unproven fact. The best credit card varies in terms of the needs of a person, so there is no true one “best” credit card Nevertheless, it is more accepted if you find the offer which is best for you. Different persons have different needs. Therefore what you consider as the “best” would not be appropriate for another person or vice versa.

Probably everyday, you will be receiving countless numbers of mails which is encouraging you to avail of credit cards from their companies. Bombarded by lots of options, you might get pressured and easily decide and settle down on what you think is the best without conducting an assessment or even be confused by free credit card offers.

To avoid miscommunication, free credit card offers do not allow you to pay the application fee or annual fee in owning the credit card. Reread the unsolicited mails that you have received. You will find out that it is already stated in the application which is pre-approved. This type of credit cards is offered mostly by stores and banks.

Keep in mind that a credit card is just a modern term for borrowing money. There is only an extension of payments regarding the purchased products within a specified period of time. Even if the credit card that you have applied for is free, monthly interest fees will still be charged upon considering your purchase balances. When you pay your expenses late, late fees will be again charged doubling your payment. In this case it helps a lot if you carefully read the conditions and terms stated in your application to avoid getting fooled by the word “Free” splattered all over their promotional tools.

There are factors to consider when weighing offers from various credit card companies. It does not matter how you are going to use the credit cards, or your current lifestyle.

Every person first considers the APR when choosing the credit card they wanted to have. Economic experts even suggest that credit cards having the lowest rates when talking about interests are rated the best. They have based their findings on the equation saying that the lower an APR is, the lower the expenses you are going to pay. So, if you could find a credit card having lower interest rates could make a huge difference between savings and long term unpaid expenses.

You could find the best credit card offer if you have the initiative to research different credit card companies. It will save you greater amounts of money when you make comparisons upon the interest rates being provided.

It could be a difficult task especially if you are going to do it the first time. You could hardly find credit cards with lower interest rates if you don’t possess any credit lines. But there is still an option that will suit your needs. It is normal that you will be getting credit cards with higher interest rates at first. In the end, you will benefit from this action because once your credit card is established; it is possible for you now to apply for credit cards having low interest rates.

Beware of fantastic offers from various credit card companies. Before signing any contract, make sure that you already studied every detail. It is typical that credit card markets are very competitive with thousands of companies who are really after your business. Just take time when looking. Anyway it is for your own good when you get the best credit card offer and gain future success.

Those who have bad credit or who have recently filed for bankruptcy may be surprised to find that they are still receiving numerous credit card offers. This has become a well known issue, and it is apparent that banks either don’t know or don’t care that the people they are sending offers to already have bad credit. In most cases, banks and credit card companies don’t take the time to research people they send offers to.

While most credit card companies are partial to consumers who have excellent credit, some companies have programs that are directed towards those who have little or no credit. Despite this, credit card companies should still not be sending offers to consumers who have filed for bankruptcy or defaulted on their credit cards in the past. In most cases, banks are either intentionally sending offers or just don’t know about the credit history of those they mail offers to.

Traditionally, credit card companies have used a business strategy that is very profitable. They would charge consumers 19% interest on the money that was borrowed, and they would also charge an annual fee that could be a high as $20. Combine this with the money the received from retailers who accepted their cards, and you are looking at an industry which generates billions of dollars each year. During this time, banks were cautious about who they gave cards to, because they couldn’t afford to suffer heavy losses.

By the 1990s, banks begin to have access to detailed credit information about their customers. Institutions like Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian allowed banks to make specific decisions about customers who applied for credit cards. With this technology, you have to wander why credit card companies would send offers to anyone, including those who have filed for bankruptcy. The answer is because it is cheaper to mass mail cards to thousands of consumers rather than look for specific individuals who qualify.

It is best for those who have bad credit to avoid applying for these offers. If you get denied, you can be hurt even more, and you should want to repair you credit. If you want to avoid all credit cards, it may be a good idea to look at prepaid debit cards, which can be used like credit cards without the problems often seen with them. The use of credit cards is important in the US, and if you can’t apply for one there will always be other options.

In today’s economic situation, almost all items and services are getting more and more expensive everyday. This is why people go to any lengths just to save money. Some people try to save money by purchasing cheaper goods and some try to save on utility expenses, like electricity, gas, and water.

Credit cards are one of the most popular ways to purchase goods and services. It can even be used to pay for your utility bills. With a credit card, you don’t have to carry a lot of cash in your wallet to purchase the things you need in your everyday life. With a single swipe of the credit card, you automatically purchase the items you need.

However, credit cards also have its disadvantages. With a credit card, people tend to lose control in spending their money. People tend to spend more than they can afford. This is why credit cards are only recommended for people who know how to manage their money.

But, more and more people today are applying for a credit card as a way to purchase the items they need even if they still don’t have the cash for it.

There are available banks and lending companies that offer 0 percent APR credit cards. You now wonder what 0% APR credit cards are and what it can do to benefit you.

APR or Annual Percentage Rate is used by credit card companies to calculate the total cost of borrowing. The APR is used by credit card companies to make it easier for them to compare loan options and also to compare lenders.

Today, there are a lot of credit card companies that offer 0% APR on their credit cards. So, you now ask, “What’s in it for me?” Since the APR determines how much you have to pay on interest, a no interest credit is obviously the best. A credit card with 0% APR means that you don’t have to pay for interest, you only have to pay the amount you borrowed with no additional fees.

For you or someone who is looking for a way to save money on credit cards, this offer can be very attractive and you would try and apply for it immediately after the bank offers this kind of credit card to you. However, before you make any decisions, you have to consider a few things first.

First of all, 0% APR credit cards are only available on a limited time only. Sometimes, these offers last for only 6 months to a year. People who are unaware of these things tend to pay more than they have to because of not considering that this offer is only introductory and they find themselves using the credit card way past the introductory period.

For this, you have to find out how long the 0% APR promo will last and also how much the interest rate will be after the introductory period expires. There are times that interest rates can go from 0 to 20% in a single billing period.

0% APR credit cards are great for making balance transfers. A balance transfer is what people do to carry out payments from one card to another. It is a great way to pay off your debt from another credit card. For example, if you have a remaining balance from one credit card with 20% monthly interest rate, you can manage this debt more effectively by transferring it to a card that has 0% interest. This means that you will pay off the debt instead of paying off the interest rate.

Before you do this, however, you need to make sure that you can pay off the debt during the 0% introductory period. Always remember that interest rate can really go up after the 0% interest rate introductory period expires.

Word Count:Article Body:
You will see many lenders these days offering 0% APR credit cards. If you are thinking of applying for a 0% APR credit card, it is well worth taking the time to research and compare all the offers and benefits available. Although many company’s offer 0% interest credit cards, in most cases it is for an introductory period only. You should take the time to compare the agreements and conditions carefully, as these vary considerably from lender to lender. It’s also important that you take into consideration the permanent rates that the lender charges. While 0% interest credit cards may look tempting, it’s no use entering into an agreement if you struggle to make payments because the permanent rate is too high.

The benefits of a 0% APR credit card may seem obvious, you don’t pay any interest! But many of the 0% interest cards also offer other benefits. Some come with reward schemes like rebates, others with cash back offers. The reward scheme applies to your purchases, where the lender may give you a percentage of cash back for every dollar you spend. They may also have a reward scheme where you can accumulate points depending on how much you spend. These points can then be exchanged for merchandise which the companies offer to their customers. While the points on offer are strictly in favor of the card company, you can still save on the retail purchase price of these goods, which is a benefit.

If you are currently paying interest on your current card or cards, why not think about changing to a 0% APR credit card? If you have a few cards the monthly payments can soon become a considerable sum. You can save yourself money by changing to one of the 0% interest cards. Just think, instead of paying out maybe $100 or so a month in interest, you could be paying out a lot less while reducing the amount you owe.

Most banks or credit card companies will allow you to transfer the outstanding balance you have on your current card to one of their 0% interest credit cards. That means you could consolidate all your outstanding balances on your current cards by transferring them to your new 0% APR credit cards. Some lenders may have a limit on the total money you are allowed to transfer. It’s important that you read the terms of the offer and understand them fully before committing yourself to an agreement. You don’t want to be penalized by any fees you may have to pay if transferring a balance.

The new lender you have transferred your balance to, may have a time limit on their 0% interest credit cards. If you want to keep your payments low, or keep reducing your balance then you should think about changing your card or transferring the balance before the 0% APR credit cards offer runs out. It is worth checking your agreement at this stage just to make sure you will not incur a fee for transferring your balance to another card.

If you’ve done your homework and chosen the correct card in the first place, this shouldn’t be a problem. You should start to look for your new 0% APR credit cards, or card, a month or so before your offer terminates. This will give you time to apply and be able to transfer your balance as soon as your 0% interest credit cards offer ends.

There is an important fact about a 0% APR credit card that most people overlook. Most agreements state you must make ALL your 0% APR credit card payments on time. If you make a late payment on your 0% interest credit cards then the offer becomes invalid immediately.
